Moving on up…

Business is business, and business must grow regardless of crummies in tummies, you know.

After the events of the Cubs Convention, we made a lot of new friends and gave out the blog information to fellow bloggers as well.  Next year we’ll have business cards instead of word-of-mouth, so chalk this up as a learning experience.

As I learn a bit more about this WordPress thing and try to streamline and professionalize the blog, there are additional ways to keep getting the word of World Series Dreaming out.  As usual, we thank all you fans and our fellow bloggers for sharing our blog site, our Facebook page and commenting on both.  I recently installed a new plug-in that allows us to be hooked in with the Google search engine.  If you know who we are and search for “World Series Dreaming” in the search prompt, this website is the fourth result under our Facebook page and Anno’s old MLBlog.  However, if you type in “Cubs blog” you will have to go maybe all the way to page six to find us.  Last I checked we were on the fifth page, just behind Bruce Miles’ blog on the Daily Herald.  Kind of cool, actually.  So after I installed the Google +1 button, we’ve shot up to page two or so on the results page, just under our friends over at Obstructed View.  That was fast.  Google probably has some kind of adjustment period or compensation program to prevent spamming of +1-ness, so that probably won’t last.

We are pretty connected through Facebook and Twitter already, and people are starting to see this blog as well.  We’d eventually like everything to be super-active so this becomes one of the largest communities of passionate and intelligent Cubs fans on the interwebs.  This isn’t so much to make tons of money or anything, but because we really just like interacting with Cubs fans so that we can all teach each other something while having fun.  One of the ways to do that is to reach out to people just searching for Cubs blogs, so please consider clicking the +1 button every time you read our posts if you like them and think they deserve it.  You can also search for “World Series Dreaming” on Google and when you find us (make sure it’s the actual worldseriesdreaming.com page and not the MLBlog), please click the +1 button associated with it.

Make sure you see that it is "worldseriesdreaming.com" and not the "mlblogs.com" one, please.

Thank you in advance for helping us grow!
