Baseball is close guys, it’s so close and today we continue our countdown of the 20 Hottest MLB players. Here is today’s pick:

MLB Debut: April 12, 2008 (Rays)

This stud was selected third overall by the Rays in the 2006 MLB Draft, and since then he has been the face of the franchise. Longoria tore up the minor leagues in 2006, and did the same in 2007. In 2008, Baseball America recognized him as the #2 prospect in baseball and he was called up just two weeks into the season. Six days later, he earned himself a six-year deal. Then in 2012, he signed a long-term contract extension with the Rays, which keeps him under team control through 2023. Longoria is a well-rounded third basemen and plays excellent defense. At only 28 years old, he has been an elite player for his entire career. In 2013, he put up another great season hitting .269 with 32 home runs and 88 RBIs. There are three things that you can expect from Longoria season after season, good looks, elite production and great defense at the hot corner.
