The Cubs Know How to Throw a Party

Regardless of it being a loss yesterday the Cubs still threw one hell of a party. All the Cub hating trolls are coming out and saying, “Who celebrates a loss” or “I guess Cubs are accustomed to celebrating losses.” Shut your mouths. I do not care what you think because in my opinion I am glad they celebrated with their fans. It was an amazing experience, and hey did you know my soon to be brother-in-law is now Internet famous for this championship champagne chug from Miguel Montero?

Well ya that happened and I got a huge high five from Anthony Rizzo and pretty much got sprayed with champagne by Chris Coghlan, Dexter Fowler, Tommy La Stella, Miguel Montero and the whole crew. Pretty much a surreal day. Being a Cubs fan for my whole life and being able to celebrate with them like that was amazing. I will never forget that day for the rest of my life. To see the joy in their faces was fantastic and just to see the fans celebrating there too was incredible. Was a little upset with the lack of fans who stayed, but I assume since they lost, fans assumed the celebration would be contained to the clubhouse. Let me tell you, everyone who left that game missed out. Well I hope they can celebrate a lot more with the upcoming playoffs because I will tell you Joe Maddon and the North Side boys sure can throw a party. Also to see the happiness in the faces of the upstairs boys, Tom Ricketts and Theo Epstein was pretty fun. Just love the fact we have active and fun people who run this team. Also took home one of the corks, pretty meaningless to a lot of people out there, but it was special to me and ill be able to look back and remember that day and remember the turning point in the dynasty of the Chicago Cubs.

  1. that article was written by my son who I raised as a cub fan despite living our entire lives on the south side. So glad to have been able to share this season with him. Especially Saturday. We went home drenched in celebratory champagne and full of life long memories
