I was at work following most of the Chicago Cubs victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on GameDay, wondering when the offense would break through. Of course, we know that they eventually did score all the runs. There was also a pretty funny episode with Anthony Rizzo and former teammate Welington Castillo:
And since the Cubs aren’t full of macho idiots, this turned out to be just a fun chuckle between friends rather than a deathmatch. Rizzo was responsible for the game-winning run, though we didn’t know it at the time. Thanks to superb pitching from the Cubs’ staff, and some late-inning craziness off Javier Baez‘s bat, the Cubs cruised to another victory and let Hector Rondon rest another day. Pretty good team, these Cubs are.
