Have a Day, Albert Almora (video links)

So we saw Albert Almora get his first at-bat on Tuesday, and he got the start in left field Wednesday.  Like the other Cubs prospects before him, Almora’s debut on Tuesday was kind of unremarkable, as he grounded out on two pitches.  In the series clincher against the Phillies, though, Almora contributed in really big ways.  First, on defense, and we of course know him to have the reputation of a superb defender even though he was in left field instead of center:

Then, he picked up his first hit and RBI, and also his first run, to cap a laugher for the Cubs.  Not a bad debut for the rookie, eh?
